The U16G BRYC Azul captured its 5th straight VYSA State Cup Championships this past weekend (Oct 25-26th) in Richmond, Virginia. The Azul defeated the Richmond Strikers 6-0 in their semi-final match and faced the very tough Beach FC Piranhas in Sunday’s final match. The Azul had faced the Piranhas in the last two finals of State Cup; they emerged victorious with a 4-0 tally. The Azul will represent both BRYC and VYSA at the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships in Barborsville, WV this coming July 2009.
